We are getting better and Yes we can and we are

So this is week five and the experience so far has been challenging, amazing, interesting and sometimes we can feel it as a team that we get confused, bored, less interested, tired and at some point almost to the brick of quitting but we didn't, we are pushing ourselves, we are getting better and there is the spirit of 'yes we can' and that is one of the amazing power of team work. Side hustle bootcamp has brought us together and we are getting better as individual and as data analyst.

This brings us to the task of this week which is working on global suicide rate for the year 1985-2016. l can tell you for free that the team didn't really find this case study exciting but we geared ourselves up and put on hands on deck to tackle the task on our table.

The Task

The task was for us to work on Global suicide rate insight analysis from the year 1985-2016 as stated earlier certain metrics were given to us to work on such as country, year, sex, age, number of suicide, GDP per capita, and suicides per 100k were required to be included and used for the analysis.

Getting dataset to work with didn't come with stress as a data set was provided for us to work on with some specific insights given as well, this made the work much easier. We did our data set cleaning and formatting on excel and loaded it on power bi for the data visualization. Below is our data visualization dashboard

Insights

. Total population which is 51 billion . 7 million suicide committed globally was recorded . The suicide rate committed by males is far higher than in females. . Top 10 suicide rate, highest suicide rate was recorded in Russian followed by the United States, Japan and France respectively . Top 5 countries by GDP per Capita which we have iceland, Norway, Sweden, Luxembourg and Switzerland. . Suicide recorded by generation
